WHANAU
11 Therefore, encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Family and the church whanau are the pillars of the community. Our love and respect for people is expressed by welcoming them and ministering to them at every stage of their lives. We have Sunday services, intercessions, mid- week prayers, conferences, outreaches and radio gospel voice through OAR FM fortnightly on Sunday mornings to build the faith and spiritual growth of family.
PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
We believe that personal relationship with Jesus is vital, and that God strengthens each one of us to carry our responsibility in our personal life, family, work and ministry as we trust in Him. Our role model is Jesus and His service towards people is great . Therefore, we believe that mature Christians are fruitful in God’s service. As a whanau, we encourage our members grow in Christ , so they can influence lives of people around them through God’s love.
DOCTRINE
2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favourable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. According to this scripture, we focus to teach in a good way.
We believe that the Bible is an unchangeable word of God that was written through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we equip believers with sound doctrine and always depend on the Bible.
QUALITY
31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 32 Give no offense either to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God; 33 just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit but the profit of the many, so that they may be saved. 1 Corinthians 10:31-33
Our value as a church is to serve people with a good heart. Therefore, we will serve with quality, respect and faithfulness . We trust that people should be served also at an individual level to meet the standard service and be a role model in God’s kingdom and to those around you.
LEADERSHIP AND EQUIPPING TEAM
We believe that God blessed the church so that the members are empowered to contribute towards the kingdom of God by using their spiritual gifts and talents for ministry. We are interested to equip, teach, train, and mentor members to use their spiritual gifts and talents in serving others.
WORSHIP
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
As a church whanau, we believe in offering praise and worship to God by singing and praising , prayer, Holy table, and giving of tithes and offering. We provide opportunities for members to be a part in these spiritual activities as a whanau.
DIVERSITY
11 For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:11-13
According to John 3:16, We believe that God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to save this world. So, our doors are opened to all nationalities, languages, races, social classes, cultures and age groups.
GOSPEL OUTREACHES, HEALING AND MIRACLES
We believe that God has given us a great commission to carry the Good News to the lost. As a church whanau, our goal is winning souls for Christ. Therefore, we pursue and strategically plan for good opportunities to witness Jesus. We believe that God moves among people with the evidence of signs, wonders, healing and miracles and that the Holy Spirit has empowered us to do God’s will.
